Sublimation is printed onto white or light polyester and high-polyester blends, so the finished shirt can be any colour. It doesn't work on cotton or dark fabrics, so for those we recommend screen printing or DTF.
On a quality polyester garment, a sublimated print typically lasts the life of the garment without noticeable fading, because the colour is dyed into the fibres rather than sitting on top.
