About PAL Screen Printers

PAL Screen Printers is a Durban-based custom printing and branding company with 45 years of experience (established in 1981). We produce custom apparel and promotional products for businesses, schools, sports clubs and events, and we deliver right across South Africa. Over the years we have printed for organisations of every size, from well-known national brands and sports clubs to local schools and start-ups.

We are based in Durban, but we are not Durban-only. We print here and courier finished orders to customers in every province, so you can order from anywhere in South Africa and receive the same quality and service as a local customer.

We have been printing since 1981 — 45 years and counting. That experience is backed by a 4.9-star rating across 240+ verified Google reviews and thousands of happy customers and businesses.

We offer every major decoration method — screen printing, DTF, heat-transfer vinyl, embroidery, sublimation and stickers and labels — so you get one supplier for your whole order, expert advice on the best method for each item, consistent branding, and a single delivery. Four and a half decades of experience means we get it right the first time.

The fastest way is WhatsApp on +27 62 501 8568. You can also send your brief through the contact form on palscreenprinters.com or email us at palscreens@gmail.com and our team will get straight back to you.

Ordering & Quotes

It is simple. Message us your design idea, quantity, garment or colour preference and any deadline. We confirm the best method, send you a quote and a proof, and once you approve and payment is confirmed, we print and deliver. Our team guides you through every step, so first-time customers are never left guessing.

Send us your design (or a description of what you want), the quantity and the type of garment or product. We will reply with a clear, no-surprises quote. WhatsApp +27 62 501 8568, use the contact form on our website or email us at palscreens@gmail.com

Yes. We provide a proof so you can see exactly what your finished item will look like before we go to production. We only print once you have approved it.

Both. For single items and small runs, DTF and heat-transfer vinyl are perfect because they need no screen setup. For larger quantities, screen printing gives you the best value. Whatever the size, we can help.

Absolutely. We run automatic screen printing machines that print up to six and eight colours, so large runs are produced quickly and consistently. Bulk orders also enjoy the lowest cost per item. Our facility is designed to produce up to 25000 prints per day.

Yes. Once we have set up your artwork (and, for embroidery, digitised your logo), repeat orders are quick and perfectly consistent with your previous ones.

Pricing, Minimums & Payment

Price depends on four things: the garment you choose, the quantity, the print method, and the number of colours or the complexity of the design. Quantity has the biggest effect — the more you order, the lower the cost per item. Send us your details for a clear quote with no hidden extras.

It depends on the method. Screen printing has a screen setup per colour, so the practical minimum is artwork-dependent and we will advise the most cost-effective quantity. For small orders or single items, DTF and vinyl have no setup, so there is effectively no minimum.

Yes. With screen printing especially, the setup cost is spread across the run, so the price per item drops as quantities rise. If you are close to a price break, we will let you know.

No. We give you a clear quote up front covering everything. If artwork needs work or a garment choice changes the price, we will tell you before we proceed.

We will confirm the available payment options when you place your order. We generally accept EFT, and cash payments in store. Production begins once your artwork is approved and payment is confirmed. Please contact us directly to arrange payment for your order.

Yes, orders go into production once payment is confirmed and your proof is approved. This protects your order and secures your place in our production schedule.

Printing Methods & Services

We offer screen printing (including silk-screen printing), DTF (direct-to-film) printing, heat-transfer vinyl, embroidery, sublimation, and custom stickers and labels. Whatever your project, we can produce it and match the right method to each item.

Screen printing pushes ink through a stencilled mesh screen, one screen per colour, using durable inks. It gives bright, long-lasting results and is the most cost-effective method for larger quantities — ideal for bulk t-shirts, uniforms, sports kit and promotional runs. Our automatic machines print up to six and eight colours.

DTF (direct-to-film) prints your design onto a special film that is heat-pressed onto the garment. Because there are no screens, it handles full-colour, detailed and photographic designs beautifully and is very cost-effective for small runs or orders where every item is different.

Heat-transfer vinyl (HTV) is a coloured film cut to your design and heat-pressed onto the garment. It gives crisp, clean edges and is the go-to for names, numbers and simple bold logos — especially on sportswear and personalised items.

Yes. Embroidery stitches your logo directly into the fabric for a premium, permanent finish that never cracks or fades. It is ideal for corporate shirts, workwear, jackets, caps and uniforms. We can also combine embroidery and printing in a single order.

Sublimation uses heat to bond special inks into polyester fabric or coated items, so the colour becomes part of the material. It produces vivid, all-over, wrap-around prints that never peel or crack — perfect for sports jerseys, mugs, and full-colour gifts.

Plastisol is a durable, PVC-based ink that sits on the fabric and is cured with heat. It delivers bold, opaque colour even on dark garments and resists cracking and fading. We use quality plastisol inks and cure every print properly so it lasts the life of the garment.

Yes, and we often do. A common example is a screen-printed or embroidered team logo with vinyl names and numbers. Because every method is in-house, we can mix them across a single project and keep your branding consistent.

It depends on your design, quantity and budget. As a guide: screen printing for bulk and bold designs, DTF for small runs and detailed full-colour work, vinyl for names and numbers, embroidery for premium uniforms, and sublimation for all-over polyester prints. Send us your brief and we will recommend the best fit.

  Artwork & Design

A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) is ideal because it scales to any size without losing quality. If you do not have a vector, a high-resolution PNG or JPG at the size you want it printed works well too.

Send it anyway. Our team will assess it and advise on the best approach. Where needed, we can help get your artwork print-ready so your final print looks sharp.

We can help get your artwork print-ready and advise on adjustments needed for clean printing or embroidery. Share what you have and we will let you know what is required.

Yes. Tell us your brand colours and we will mix and match inks to keep your logo consistent across the whole order and on future reorders.

Any setup or artwork costs are included in the quote we give you up front, so there are no surprises. Supplying print-ready artwork helps keep costs down.

Most detail reproduces well, but very fine lines and tiny text can be challenging, especially in embroidery. We will flag anything that might not come out cleanly and suggest small adjustments before printing.

Turnaround & Deadlines

For most standard screen printing jobs, allow roughly 7 to 10 working days from artwork approval and confirmed payment. Small runs can be quicker; large or multi-colour orders may take a little longer. We always give you a realistic date up front.

We regularly handle urgent work. For fast small runs, DTF is often quickest as it needs no screens. Tell us your deadline before you order and we will confirm whether we can meet it.

The main causes are artwork that needs redrawing, slow approval or payment, a large number of colours, or special-order garments. Supplying print-ready artwork and approving your proof promptly keeps everything on track.

Approve your artwork quickly, send a vector or high-resolution file, confirm your garment early, and settle payment promptly. Those four steps remove almost every avoidable delay.

Delivery & Nationwide Orders

Yes. We print in Durban and courier completed orders to businesses, schools, clubs and event organisers anywhere in South Africa.

Definitely. The whole process works remotely: you send your brief and artwork, we quote and proof, you approve, and we print and courier to your address. Thousands of customers across the country order this way.

It depends on your location and the courier, but we agree a realistic delivery date with you up front so you can plan around it. Being outside Durban does not mean waiting longer to get started.

If you are in or near Durban, collection can be arranged. Let us know your preference when you place your order.

Quality, Care & Guarantees

Very. We use quality inks and materials and cure every print properly, so prints resist cracking and fading. Embroidery is stitched into the fabric and sublimation becomes part of it, both lasting the life of the garment.

Turn garments inside out, wash in cold or warm water on a gentle cycle, avoid bleach, and tumble dry low or line dry out of direct sun. When ironing, avoid pressing directly onto the print. Good care keeps custom garments looking their best for years.

On a quality polyester garment, a sublimated print typically lasts the entire life of the garment without noticeable fading, because the colour is dyed into the fibres rather than sitting on top.
