Silk Screen Printing — Bold, Durable & Cost-Effective Since 1981

PAL has been doing silk screen printing in Durban since 1981, using plastisol inks on quality blanks for bold prints that last wash after wash. Our automatic machines print up to 6 and 8 colours, and we deliver nationwide — backed by 4.9 stars across 240+ Google reviews.

Our Screen printing Principles

  • low colour screen print on tshirts

    LOW COLOUR DESIGNS

Screen printing works best with designs that have standard or spot colours. The fewer the colours, the lower the minimum order and the more cost-effective the job.

  • large volumes of apparel screen printed

    BULK ORDERS

Once the screen is set up, printing large quantities becomes fast and efficient. The more you print, the lower your cost per unit.

  • many apparel screen printed

    CONSISTENT REPEAT PRINTS

Every item comes out identical — same ink coverage, same placement, same result. Ideal for uniforms, branded apparel and anything that needs to look exactly the same across the run.

  • durable screen print on t-shirt

    BUILT TO LAST

Plastisol ink is cured directly into the fabric under heat, bonding it to the material. The result is a print that holds its colour and doesn't crack or peel over time.

  • vibrant colours from a screen print

    BOLD, VIBRANT COLOUR

Screen printing lays down a thick layer of ink that produces rich, opaque colours — even on dark fabrics. Whites and bright colours pop in a way that other methods can't match.

    THE COST-EFFECTIVE CHOICE FOR BUSINESSES

For bulk orders of the same design, screen printing offers the best price per unit of any print method. The more pieces you need, the better the value becomes.

Screen Printing FAQ

There’s no fixed minimum — it’s artwork dependent. Some designs are cost-effective from a smaller run, while others need a few more pieces to be worthwhile. Send us your design and we’ll advise the most cost-effective quantity. For true one-offs and small numbers, our DTF and heat-transfer vinyl options have no minimum at all.

Plenty. Our automatic silk screen printing machines print up to 6 and 8 colours, so we handle everything from a simple one-colour logo to detailed, multi-colour designs. Fewer colours still keep your setup and cost per item lower, but you’re not limited to just a handful. For photographic or gradient artwork, DTF is the better choice.

No. We cure plastisol ink directly into the fabric under heat, so it bonds to the material and holds its colour wash after wash — ideal for uniforms and kit that get worn and washed constantly.

Most orders are ready in 1-2 weeks from artwork approval, then couriered to your door anywhere in South Africa. Larger runs may take a little longer — we’ll confirm the timeline on your quote, and rush options are available.

Yes — it’s the most cost-effective method for bulk orders of the same design. Once the screens are set up, your price per item drops as the quantity goes up, which is why it’s the go-to for teams, schools and corporate uniforms.
