Print-ready artwork tips

Great printing starts with a great file. The quality of your artwork has a direct impact on the quality of your print, so a few simple steps up front make all the difference. Here is how to give your design the best chance.

What counts as print-ready artwork for printing

Supplying print-ready artwork for printing - ideally a vector file - is the single best way to get a sharp, accurate result.

The ideal file type

Vector files (such as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) are ideal because they can be scaled to any size without losing sharpness. If you have your logo as a vector, always send that. If not, a high-resolution PNG or JPG at the size you want it printed is the next best thing.

Resolution matters

For image files, aim for 300 dpi at actual print size. Small images pulled from a website or social media are usually too low-resolution and will look blurry or pixelated when enlarged. When in doubt, bigger is better.

Colours and detail

Tell us your exact brand colours if you have them. Be aware that very fine lines and tiny text can be hard to reproduce, especially in embroidery. Our team will flag anything that might not print cleanly and suggest adjustments before we start.

Not sure about your file? Send it anyway

You do not need to be a designer. Send us whatever you have and our team will check it, advise on the best approach and, where needed, help get it print-ready. We would rather sort it out before printing than after.
