Just Need One? The Truth About Custom Printing Minimum Order Rules

One of the most common questions we get is: what is the minimum I can order? The honest answer is that it depends on the method — and we are flexible. Here is how minimums really work.
How the custom printing minimum order works
There is no single custom printing minimum order - it depends on the method, and for small runs DTF and vinyl have effectively no minimum.
Why minimums exist for screen printing
Screen printing involves preparing a screen for each colour, which is a fixed setup cost. That cost is spread across the order, so very small screen-print runs cost more per shirt. For screen printing the practical minimum is artwork-dependent, and we will always tell you the most cost-effective quantity.
Small orders? DTF and vinyl are your friends
If you only need a handful of items — or even one — DTF and heat-transfer vinyl need no screen setup, so they are perfect for small runs and single pieces. That means we can help whether you want five shirts or five hundred.
Bigger orders, better prices
Across every method, the cost per item drops as quantities rise. If you are close to a price break, we will let you know — sometimes ordering a few more works out cheaper overall.
